Today's project features a gift box of eight notecards with envelopes for a mother-to-be, and I designed these thank you cards so they would not require additional postage to mail - no thickness from brads nor ribbon. I included postage stamps for the envelopes with the cards, so the future mom can get the job done quickly and have everything she needs.
The professional gift presentation box (from Nashville Wraps #SB738) features a partial decorative lining on the clear lid, exposing the decorative card front. The decorative lining is held in place with two brads; I used Basic Grey's new Porcelain 6x6 papers and their coordinating brads. May Arts Flamingo Pink ribbon secures the gift box.
I began by stamping Lockhart's Sweet Pea outfit onto two coordinating sheets of Basic Grey Porcelain paper - shirts on one and pants on another.
Outfit pieces were cut out - note I cut off the cuffs of the outfit to save cutting time, and did not trim the tops of the pants either...this is to prevent any gaps of the white cardstock underneath when layering the two outfit pieces together. I did highlight the pants a bit with a Copic marker (used YR31 and YR24).
Nestabilities Long Rectangles were used to cut white cardstock, then stamped the Sweet Pea outfit in Memento Rich Cocoa, along with a 'thank you' sentiment from A Muse. Created eight units; colored in cuffs, inside of shirt and quickly added shadows with Copic markers.
Variegated green mat is from the Basic Grey Porcelain paper pack and I used scalloped Long Rectangles (Nestabilities); the pieced outfit layer is mounted with foam dimensionals. I really like the simplicity but colorful features of these single-sided cards. Thanks for stopping by today!
