edited April 2, 2011 to add: Well, I had time this past week to peruse and discover new crafting blogs that inspire me, and I discovered I truly enjoy commenting. I've discovered blogging is a two-way street, and to silence the observer is not something I wish to do. I am thankful for it. One can now comment on posts that are up to a week old; this will hopefully avoid the spam issues. Many thanks to those that have contacted me privately during this 'comments off' period - you girls make my soul happy!
Why do I blog about what I've made?
I share my passion for paper crafting. My hope is that this blog inspires you!
Playing wth paper - it's what I do. It's what I love.
I am considering for future posts, unless they are giveaways, to have the comment ability disabled.
Spam issues...even with Typepad? Sure. Always and probably forever. Other issues? Yes.
I sincerely appreciate your kind and wonderful comments over the years regarding my work - they uplifted my day and encouraged me.
Spam has been an eternal issue, along with a new trend I have encountered here on my blog and I have viewed on other crafting blogs...
This blog is not a canvas for readers' advertisements. It is for your inspiration and MY creative outlet.
We all have wants. We all have 'needs'... for example, "I need the new xyz tool! It is so uber whack!" My blog is not the place to advertise in your comment(s) that you want to 'split an order of quarter million pipe cleaners' with anyone willing, or can 'someone...anyone...please send me a samples with the new xyz die cut - I - like - soooo neeeeeeed it!'.
I chose to use Typepad - fees for this blog are around a hundred bucks a year. I will not pay for the advertisement of others and inundate you with them.
Are comments really needed for crafting blogs?
