My hubby has a wonderful secretary that works incredibly hard - when I first joined the workforce umpteen years ago I was a secretary, and always appreciated gifts at the holidays. I created these for her from me (well, they are from him, but she knows...lol). I was influenced by Kimber McGray's layouts on 2Peas - using complementary patterned papers, thin string and a chipboard piece.
Card bases measure 5" x 4-1/4", but with the horizontal strip the finished size of the cards measure 5-1/2" x 4-1/4".
Papertrey scallop border, May Arts burlap string. Patterned papers/chipboard pieces are from October Afternoon's latest and greatest, Farmhouse.
The interior was kept simple, so she can keep it blank for a long note, or add the sentiment of her choosing, like I did with this card set here. The interior trim is the leftover piece from creating the card front scallop.
Stamped a variety of sentiments on die cuts of Parchment (Memory Box) cardstock...
...added Glue Dot Lines to the obverse side, keeping the protective film in place.
Created directions, computer generated on white cardstock and cut into squares...cut to fit into bitty bags. The bag flap folds over the front, and neatly tucks behind the cardstock square - like this:
Housed in a lovely presention box with a clear lid (from Nashville Wraps #SB738). I want a set of these for ME! Maybe after the holidays. Hope you're having a good one!

I love your cards and love the idea of making sentiments to add as they wish. Fabulous idea.

Hi Cindy -
I used to be a secretary for many years before I was promoted to a manager, and I too appreciated it when someone presented me with a gift. I am sure your husband's secretary will fall in love with this gift. These are exceptional, so pretty and extremely useful. Lucky lady to get these. Merry Christmas!!

Glad to see you have had time to delve into Farmhouse. Love the cards and the presentation is perfect. What die did you use to make the sentiments, I really love it. 2 more days of work and 3 days off. Priceless!

Love her set! Clever with the choice of inside sentiments....I've done that with little tags for the outside but never thought about the inside!
Have a wonderful holiday with your family!
