Due to time constraints I never seem to be able to participate in fun sketches, but did for October Afternoon's 9 to 5 one.
Using the above sketch (created by Roree Rumph) I came up with today's project - a much-needed thank you card.
The celery chevron paper circle in the upper right corner was pieced from the 8x8 stripe in the paper pack. Hero Arts sentiment; mini-paper clips. Memory Box Jack o'Lantern cardstock base. Happy Wednesday!
Played a bit with October Afternoon's 9 to 5 - gift packaging for a pair of earrings - used this tutorial for the dimensional envelope. Prima nest, doily, 7gypsies velvet leaves, seam binding.
The base is thick chipboard covered neatly with 8x8 paper. It measures about 4-1/2-inches by 3-1/2-inches. Project was created at the request of a friend for her mother.
Here's how the earrings slide into the envelope - used a 1/4-inch depth for the handmade envelope.
Magetic snap closure - the clasp is totally hidden so it closes like magic...one magnet is under the button, the other is located the inside of the envelope. Happy Memorial Day and best wishes for a great week!
October Afternoon Boarding Pass line used on today's cards - I was low on big boy birthday cards; this is a great product line for dudes. Cards on today's post all measure 4-1/4-inch by 5-1/2-inch in size.
Inspired by a card from FlebbeArt viewed on Pinterest - blog post here. Used Sasparilla papers, ribbon pack, Tin Pins and Flower Sack die-cuts. McGill star punch; Memory Box Vanilla Bean card base and sentiment.
Lots of foam tape used!
Finished card sizes: 4-1/4" x 5-1/2". Happy Wednesday!
Inspired by this card from Seeing Ink Spots blog - I originally saw her wonderful card on Pinterest. October Afternoon Sasparilla products used; Memory Box Red Pepper card base. Finished card size is 4-1/4" x 5-1/2".
card interior - sentiment is from Penny Black.
Machine stitching helped stabilize the layers. Corrugated piece was recycled from an old box. Card size is 4-1/4-inches by 5-1/2-inches.
This card uses Chip 'n Stick pieces, Journal Cards and Label stickers. Card size (including his hand) is 4-1/4-inches by 5-1/2-inches. Memory Box Thistle card base.
Card interior. Custom envelope for this dimensional card was learned here via Pinterest. Hope you're having a great week!
I tried some of the X-Press-It Foam Tape that we got in - I prefer to cut it versus ripping it with my fingers, but the backing does come off quickly, which is very nice. We will continue to carry one of my favorite staples: Scotch Foam Tape.
