Obverse side of flourish stencil was inked with various Distress inks, spritzed with water, then positioned onto a sheet of watercolor paper and heat set - Tim Holtz tutorial here. This technique looks great and the clean up is minimal. Die cut with corner design die and randomly inked cutwork with Distress Vintage Photo ink. Added washi tapes and machine stitched into place.
Added unit to Graphic 45 Artisan Style line paper - all on a card base of Bazzill Hillary cardstock.
Row of Poppies was die cut from watercolor paper and painted using a brush, water and Distress re-inkers. Heat set. Inked edges inked with Distress Vintage Photo ink and a blending tool. Grassland Border and Fresh Cut Grass dies layered with the poppies using Hillary cardstock.
Handmade envelope created using more of the Graphic 45 Artisan Style paper. Thanks for stopping by!
Poppystamps Into the Words clear stamp set; A Fox Tale clear stamp set and coordinating dies; Poppystamps Stick Trees & Tops and Stitched Landscapes; Memory Box Water cardstock base, Bazzill Parakeet and Nutmeg textured cardstocks. Stitched flag die and is MFT; large stitched rectangle is from MFT blueprints #20.
Foxes (incorporated a second fox within the card interior) were colored quickly with Distress markers and a waterbrush.
Avery Elle Handwritten Notes for the interior. Thanks for stopping by today!
above: I used Distress Specialty Stamping paper (and spellbinders labels 22) and heat set the image. This Ranger paper is super slick and heat setting was necessary...but the stamping ink is gorgeous on it.
To me, the Distress Stamping paper reacted differently with water than traditional (hot press) watercolor paper. (hot press is smooth and I prefer this; cold press has some texture to it - great article here).
