Basic Grey Serenade buttons and paper; doily; spritzed a 4.5 inch diameter doily with a pale gray-blue Sprinkler (Icebox) and layered underneath the white, English-style one. Walnut ink stained formerly ivory #12 tag anchors it all. Finished card size - I believe this was 5 x 7 or 5 x 6 inches - it sold last week at the local artisan fair I do a couple of times each month; one-of-a-kind, ornate pieces like this go quickly.
Delicate linen thread; round 1.5 inch diameter metal-rimmed tag; Zva crystal (symmetrical flourish), Papertrey ticket die (cut using Serenade paper) and stamps.
...and a handmade, bubble-lined envelope of course!
I didn't hit the gym this morning - pushed it hard yesterday. I'm 'bout half-way to getting my 10 million pound t-shirt (Technogym key database conveniently keeps track of total weight lifted)...cuz you know...it's all about the t-shirt! Hey it's almost Friday - yippieee!!
Card base uses Spellbinders grand scallop circles and the flags and banners from the kit. Finished size is five inches in diameter.
Card interior - Papertrey Ink stamps and banner die.
The photo above shows the entire package of Serenade flowers used - one on the notebook, five others at the top left (created most these based on the product packaging photo), and two machine-stitched card fronts using up the little extras.
Notebook interior - another flower used on the interior pocket, as well as two Memory Box dies (Pocket Gift Tag and Perfect Gift Card) - makes a nifty pocket for post-it notes once the recipient has removed the gift card. Finished notebook measures 5 x 8 inches when closed.
I'll detail the other cards made with the Serenade flowers in Monday's post - next week I hope to detail my latest love - how I make custom envelopes, as well as bubble-lined envelopes. Best wishes for a great weekend and Happy Birthday Bevie!
Mrs. Coburn was my humanities teacher in high school - I recall her teaching that gothic arched windows were to keep the human eye looking upward, toward the heavens. She was an amazing teacher.
Ranger's alcohol inks were muddled on their glossy cardstock, then die cut. Memory Box Grand Gothic Luminary Window die used with the Grand Gothic Window. Papertrey sentiment and banner die; Making Memories brad. Memory Box solid cardstocks used (boysenberry, vanilla bean, kraft (interior), squash.
A piece of vellum symbolizes etched glass. Interior was neatly finished to conceal the vellum layer; sentiment from Verses Rubber Stamps. Finished card measures about 5 x 5.5 inches. Handmade envelope (retired 7gypsies paper). Happy Monday - off to the gym.
Customizable cards are today's project - I did this before here, and today's project is a gift as well. This set is being sent to the kind Frontgate rep that handled the giveaway a while back.
Papertrey small butterfly die cut from felt, smallest butterfly is a Martha punch. October Afternoon Woodland Park papers used and English doilies. Gray Divine Twine. Gina K Luxury cardstock bases - finished card sizes measure 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 inches. Butterflies are stitched to the doily, then the unit was adhered to the card front.
Spellbinders label die cuts, stamped with various Papertrey sentiments (Autumn Abundance set) are housed in a mini bag with directions. On each sentiment label obverse a strip of Glue Lines was placed, and the clear, protective layer was left in place. This way, the recipient simply selects a sentiment, then adheres as needed. Thanks for stopping by today!
Be sure to scroll down to Monday's post to be entered in the Frontgate giveaway!
Inspired by Kittie Caracciolo and her amazing work with Memory Box and poppystamps dies - I opened my packages of the grand window and shutter, and was amazed at the detail in the die-cut images.
I had to google 'shutters' to see how they are attached to a house, as I don't have any and couldn't find the binoculars to look at my neighbor's house across the street, cuz they have them !
I cut 3/4-inch strips of Bazzill Card Shop Taffy and layered them - exposing 1/2-inch on each, last strip at the top was 1/2-inch in height. Window interior paper is Bazzill Wayfarer 6x6. Finished card size is 4.5 x 6 inches; sentiment is Papertrey Ink.
After I created this card I was visiting a friend, and I noted she has (non-functioning/decoration only) shutters but they are not attached to the window frame moulding, but to the house itself. So I guess either way is okay!
Interior sentiment is from Papertrey Ink, and the Spellbinders scalloped rectangle (the long ones) was sponged lightly with Peeled Paint Distress ink. Thinking about getting this flip die in the fancy frame style. Thanks for stopping by!
