Yippieee - it's Friday!!! This post uses a versatile layout from an old Stampin' Up catalog. I started keeping sketches of layouts, thanks to
encouragement from
Mish! Next to the sketch I put the name of where I picked up the layout, or if my own design where I got the idea from. Some places I get some wierd inspiration: where I stand and fold laundry; when I walk and take the compost bucket outside. Or when I'm trying to sleep! The best place by far, is the shower...I can remember what I need from the grocery store in the shower...but can I remember it when I'm at Shop Rite??? noooooooooo!! :-D Here I'm using Basic Grey's Scarlett's Letter paper - it comes in a handy 6x6 paper pad - all the goodness of Basic Grey paper but scaled down in size - all the great details, fantastic for use on handmade cards! Someone once told me a decorating tibit that I somehow retained - that when decorating a room, it should contain at least one item that is black. I think some decorating advice works well when making cards too, so I tried it! Also, I tried to use 'one, two three, four' in this card: one knot, two hole punches, three lady bugs and four layers. :)

Lady bugs were stamped in black ink and colored with markers. Try using this layout differently to suit your needs - omit the ribbon and use a band of cardstock, or put a knot of ribbon or a big brad where the spiral hole punch is! I placed an extra strip of the beautiful paper inside the card, along with a few more lady bugs. Thank you for stopping by and hope you have a great weekend! More snow is due here in NJ! :)
