My 1/8" hand-held hole punch got a workout with this card. And so did the adorable little inchworm!
I started with an inchie matboard base, and a strip of white cardstock (Papertrey Ink) 1" in width and 5.5" in length. Stamped the cutie-pie inchworm once on the matboard square, then randomly on the strip, using Palette ink in Noir Black. Colored in quickly with Copic markers. Distressed all edges of both pieces with Distress Antique Linen and Peeled Paint.
Then I went to town with the 1/8" hole punch! :)
I also punched a little 1/8" hole through the inchie, but since the matboard is quality material and very strong I had to use a crop-a-dile versus my Fiskars.

The bookmark was created by punching a piece of white cardstock, covered with a vintage dictionary page (I used the definition of 'leaf' - makes me think of The Hungry Little Catepillar! LOL!), using a McGill Hang Tag punch. Ink edges using same Distress inks (Antique Linen & Peeled Paint). I adhered the inchie square to the bookmark with dimensionals, and hooked the hang tag bookmark through a length of red polka dot ribbon.
The ends of the red ribbon are concealed under the stamped inchworm strip!
White cardstock (Papertrey Ink) base was layered with Memory Box Vanilla Bean cardstock and uses a versatile Lockhart 'Thanks' sentiment. I punched even more holes on both sides the sentiment!
For the apple accent, I will confess to you I had a paper punch addiction long before I had a rubber stamp addiction...all shapes - so fun!! I will show you how I store them in a future post! So I grabbed an apple punch, and punched it through Red Peper, Mocha and Dill Memory Box cardstocks and created a layered punched paper pieced piece. Not enough P's in that description... :-D
This card will house another Borders gift card! I go through those gift cards like potato chips! Makes an excellent gift for everyone on your list! :-D
