The latest issue of Stamp It features at least one card by Debbie Olson - page 13 - amazing layout! I used Debbie's layout for today's card. She is incredibly inspiring to me, and I find myself drawn to her card layouts and color combinations!
Adirondack chairs - these remind me of my grandparents' house and sprawling, oceanfront resorts where relaxation is easily found..not so easy in real life though... ;)
For today's card I paired this relaxing Lockhart image with a soothing peachy pink hue. A piece of 7gypsies Cantania paper was run through a Cuttlebug (CB) floral embossing folder. I applied a Tattered Rose Distress Pad DTP style.
DTP stands for 'direct to paper' - hold the open stamp pad in one hand and swipe the cardstock directly. This technique with the CB embossing folder quickly and easily highlights the embossing but the French script was still visible - love this!
Using Copic markers the Lockhart adirondack chair was quickly colored in. I'll use this card for a quick hello to a friend!
I'm going to try using other CB embossing folders with patterned papers and trying different inks! What do you think of this? I can see the CB numbers embossing folder with a kids' themed patterned paper for birthday cards for kids!!
Thank you for stopping by & wishing you a relaxing week!
