Today on Inchie Thursday I'd like to share an Anna Wight layout that inspired these cards. I adore Anna's blog - If I move again it will absolutely be to a farm with chickens - seriously!
I began with a Yellow/Green Inchie Notes pack. These pre-scored, 3-1/2" square notecards arrive with postal approved envelopes - but they are rectangular and sized so you do not pay the additional postage required for a square envie - smart!
Using Memory Box Holiday cardstock and DCWV glitter cardstocks, punch the bottom edge of each with a different border punch (EK Success via SU scallop and Martha Stewart floral used). Adhere to Inchie Notes and tie with ribbon.
For each Inchie, stamp image onto a white Inchie Square. I've used Lockhart Stamp Company's IB Cupcake and IB Inchworm (he is the cutest!) with a Palette Noir pad. Color in using Copic markers.
I edged the cupcake's white Inchie square using the chisel tip of a purple Copic marker. I really wanted a white mat so the marker edging was a quick solution to add a 'faux layer'.
To create the mat for each Inchie Square, I used a Cuttlebug square scallop die and Kraft cardstock for the Inchworm and white cardstock for the Cupcake. After the cardstock was punched with the Cuttlebug square scallop die I ran the scallop squares through a Cuttlebug swiss dot embossing folder. If you do this in reverse (emboss cardstock, then die-cut) the embossing tends to get smooshed.
Each square scallop was mounted onto the Inchie Notecard using a foam mounting square - these are available at stores like Target and Wal-Mart. These are a fast solution to the little foam dimensionals.
White Inchie Squares are nice, thick, high-end archival matboard, one-inch squares, packaged in packs of 72. Using them instantly creates a quality, dimensional embellishment.
Thinking of you sentiment is A Muse. The 'Happy Cupcake Day' sentiment is from Lockhart Stamp Company.
