Lockhart Stamp Company's newest release includes a heartwarming image titled Basket of Leaves (5019). I had a ball coloring this image with Copic markers, and paired the image with October Afternoon's Weathervane papers and pre-punched shapes.
Weathervane is (sadly) retired by October Afternoon, so if you get your hands on anything Weathervane, stores can not reorder this line from October Afternoon. I personally can't wait to get my hands on Modern Homemaker, Campfire and Schoolhouse, all due next month sometime, but I will miss beautiful patterns like this from OA.
These are the Copics I used.
The Basket of Leaves was stamped onto a scrap of Weathervane and the basket was cut out for piecing. Image is stamped onto white cardstock (Papertrey Ink) and die cut using Labels One.
Close up of the finished image. A clear Spica pen makes the flowers and trail lines sparkle. Button is Simply Chartreuse from Papertrey Ink, Vanilla Bean and Kraft cardstock are from Memory Box.
The fine twine used on the button is a proud find of mine - 50 yards for $1.99. Punched leaves on and in the notebook are from Weathervane's Die-Cut Shapes.
The leaves are almost ready to turn here in New Jersey - a few branches here and there for right now. Won't be long! Thank you for stopping by today!
