I don't really knit, but my youngest (she's ten years-old) loves to, and likes to crochet as well. I love to hear her talk about crochet hook sizes and patterns and yarns - I have no clue what she's talking about most of the time, but it sounds oh-so-technical, and it seems like she's twice her age. My friend Liza taught my daughter how to knit in an after-school program last year.
I found a thick, chenille yarn with fur-like pom poms attached at intervals, and Abbie knit (crochet?) an infinity scarf for me - it's super-warm! Many thanks to Liza for teaching her how.
Today's project is a simple card - Memory Box Boysenberry card base, envelope, wood stamp sentiment. Memory Box dies: Grand Gothic Window in kraft cardstock and Grand Gothic Stained Glass in black cardstock used. Background is Ranger's Alcohol Inks on glossy cardstock.
The extra piece of alcohol-inked glossy cardstock was adhered to the card interior. I'll use this as a special holiday card this year. Text-style paper is retired 7gypsies. Happy Monday - off to the gym!
