aaaaah, June...
Jimmy Buffett concert was fantastic...and before I get asked again yes that is an Athleta Santorini dress and yes it is amazing and comfortable and yes I bought two.
This past Tuesday I took my eldest daughter to see the group One Direction here in Jersey; brought ear plugs and gave an extra pair to the dad sitting next to me. He was very appreciative and thanked me more than once. Sadly a margarita was not to be found in the arena. ha.
I signed up for a ten mile run - race is in October - started training last month with the fabulous Deb Arbach and the running club at my gym. We did four miles today - all hills - then planks and cross-over pushups (military style...not on yer knees!).
No I have no desire to run a marathon. Triathalon yes - I will do one before I am 50, and I turn 45 this month. Those of you that know my history know this year was a special year for me, having lost my dad when he was 44.
Here is the closest thing to my father, who passed away when I was 14...my dear Uncle Bill...at his daughter's wedding in June. He looks so spiffy!
At that cousin's wedding...from left: my brother, his lovely wife, me and my amazing husband...Ann Taylor dress I have on is from 1994 - yes it is 19 years old. I told my dry cleaner it was because they took such good care of it that it is still in amazing shape.
Card above measures about 6 x 5 inches and required a handmade bubble-lined envelope. Made with some new dies from Memory Box (rectangle and tag are spellbiners) - Gorgeous Gardenia and Hayden Twigs (the new ones). All Bazzill Card Shoppe cardstock (ancient 7gypsies rubon sentiment; want2scrap bling). Older Memory Box dies are Musical Interlude, Pippi and Isabella Butterflies. Made this card last Friday and it was one of the first items to sell at the market Saturday. The magic words are, "Oh and I made this last night..." with a 'Vanna hand gesture' to said card...sold. Hope you are having a fabulous week! Kickboxing again tomorrow. BAM!
