photo play market bags

Photo Play paper bags (Autumn Day collection) for the Saturday market..made these a few weeks ago - this paper is appealing to those in and outside our little papercrafting world!

The bags above are called 'Rose' size from Nashville Wraps.

The photo above and below show bags a bit larger than the Rose size - these are called 'Cub'.

For the market, typically if the customer purchases two to five cards, or a 4x6 notebook, the item(s) are wrapped in tissue and placed in the Rose-sized bag.  

If they purchase more than five cards, or a 5x8 notebook, the items are wrapped in tissue and placed in a larger, Cub sized bag.  The bags are a signature item of mine at the market - they are continued advertisement after the sale.

Crisp days and cool nights, and viewing the multicolored leaves...the beauty of this season makes the brutal (to me) winters here in NJ almost tolerable!  Thanks for stopping by!

autumn - american style

For today's project I utilized this layout from Wanda which I adore - the Ralph Lauren look is timeless and these colors, textures and patterns are well-suited for a male-themed birthday card.

EK Success deer head punch - fully adhered the thin, crumpled gold paper I bought at Marco's Paper eons ago to thicker cardstock, then punched the deer out.  Ivory 'shield' is a spellbinders label 25.

Patterned paper is from an old October Afternoon line called Road Map - love this plaid pattern.  

Boxwood twine is new from Tim Holtz's idea-ology line.  Gold-tone brads frame the card front. Corrugated pale olive green paper is from the stash.

Card interior features a combo of a Memory Box Birthday Script die and Tim Holtz for Sizzix Block Celebration Words die ('wishes').  

assembly note: the boxwood twine was neatly stitched into place in three spots versus using glue.

Fall is upon us here in New Jersey!  These leaves were collected from a single spot by the mailbox.

silverware set from tim holtz - adornments

Advantus and Tim Holtz have developed a new silverware set, confusingly similar to the readily-available gold utensil set - they have included this new silver version in their Adornments line.

The length of each utensil is about 2-1/2 inches.  

These made some dandy notebooks for the market.   Finished size is 4 x 6 inches.

The kitchen-themed patterned paper is Canvas Corp from their gorgeous Farmhouse Kitchen collection, and the little knob is from Kaisercraft.   Utensils were anchored in place using Glossy Accents.

 

Lined pad is 4x6 inches (source: Staples) - spiral bound at the top.  Chipboard base is held firmly attached to the covered notebook using elastic ribbon from May Arts.  My method of attaching elastic ribbon can be found in this post.

Sizzix Rosette die used along with pinked and regular circles.  Some utensils were anchored with black waxed linen.  Thanks for stopping by!

poppystamps gobble til you wobble - sweet as pie

All I could think when I was stamping the pie, was Jerry Seinfeld asking rhetorically, "Who doesn't like pie!?"

Poppystamps' new stamp set, Gobble Til You Wobble, has this adorable little stove which I fell in love with. Stove is cut from Bazzill Wax Lips and the pie was watercolored.

poppystamps cup of cheer card

Little furry tailed friend with a cup of hot chocolate!

The branches in the background are a Twiggy Tree diecut, and the papers used are Photo Play Autumn Day, Bazzill Candle (card base) and Bazzill Yam (thin horizontal strip) .  Finished card size is 4.25 x 5.5 inches.

The little guy was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink and colored with Zig Clean Color markers.

Oval is MFT, inked with Distress Antique Linen ink and a blending tool.  The steam swirl comes with the Cup of Cheer stamp set.  On the mug both the snowflake and heart are in the stamp set too.

Poppystamps Cup of Cheer set - easy holiday card that measures 4-3/4 inches square.

Image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copic markers.

Open Studio Stitched Square Layers and Poppystamps Stitched Landscapes dies.

The snowflake stamp (with the Cup of Cheer) uses Encore Metallic Silver ink, and I replaced the heart in the stamped sentiment with a heart shaped brad.

Patterned basket weave paper is Doodlebug Happy Forest.

poppystamps cup of cheer set - sweet squirrels

These adorable squirrels could be two dear friends, or a couple!  New, versatile clear stamps and dies from Poppystamps called Cup of Cheer.

Squirrels were watercolored with Zig Clean Color markers - patterned paper is Doodlebug's Friendly Forest.

Squirrels out here in NJ are a brown with bits of gray.  My pop-pop used to call them 'rats with big tails', but I think they are cute!

Card base is new Bazzill Card Shoppe Pale Rose - finished card size is 4.25 x 5.5 inches.  Layout is adapted from Debbie Olson's super sweet card.

Linen thread, dies used: MFT large flags, PTI Half & Half (set of 3), and the new Cup of Cheer Poppystamps set.

What an adorable stamp set!  I hope to show more cards made with this set this week!

Card interior uses sentiment with the stamp set.  I could use this as a birthday or an anniversary card.
