Doodlebug's Sweet Things collection of papers, stickers and embellishments - schweeet!
The 'so happy together' card was inspired by Mendi's post on Doodlebug's blog here.
12x12 trimmed cardstock squares match up with the Icon Stickers! (finished card size is 4.75 inches square)
Above is a striking (pun intended!) anniversary card. (finished card size is 5.5 x 4.25 inches)
Keisha Campbell inspired me from her posts to learn to crochet a few years ago - it has been in the 20's (Fahrenheit) and a wee bit chilly here in New Jersey - wearing a cowl around the house is a nice change of pace from the typical turtleneck and seeing her beautiful work made me want to learn.
I finished these hand warmers today to wear at market on Saturdays. Oldest daugher is the hand model. I prefer to have my thumbs inside the opening versus in a side slot. If you like the side vent for your thumb this is a good pattern and it works up quickly. Above is a half-double crochet worked in the back loops; Lion Brand Heartland Yarn in Katmai; J hook (5.5mm). The white is believe it or not Whisker Graphics Divine Twine solid ivory with a 3.5mm hook in a custom trim pattern I came up with. Basic pattern for the arm warmers is here. Best wishes for the coming weekend!
