Gift bags for the Saturday market (see sidebar - Flemington, New Jersey, or 'Joisey' as they say here) measuring roughly 5 x 8-1/2 inches. Customers that purchase two or more cards receive a complimentary gift bag like these.
I create the gift bag 'fronts', measuring 4 x 6 inches, and keep them stacked in a lidded box. If you subscribe to Birchbox their decorative, sturdy boxes meant for reuse are ideal for this.
By creating 'fronts' I can choose the bag size required for the purchase first, then adhere the 'gift bag front'. I purchase gift bags and tissue paper used for the shop from Nashville Wraps. These products are made in the USA.
Process: Penny Black Antique Frame craft die used on Bazzill Marshmallow cardstock; inked edges with Antique Linen using a blending tool. Stamped bird from Red Lead Stamps, script and postage stamp using Versafine Claire Nocturne, Distress Frayed Burlap and Archival Tree Branch. Stamped bird labels (these arrive as one unit; I do not cut them apart - it's easier to stamp, ink as desired then cut apart) with Nocturne onto white cardstock, blended Forest Moss, spritzed with water, blotted and heat set then trimmed.
Tiny glassine bags (etsy) were filled with a trimmed bird collage sheet from Red Lead Stamps. May Arts ribbon; lovely linen thread from Belgium. Printed glassine sheet music is Tim Holtz/Advantus Tissue Wrap. Happy Autumn!
