Playing with Distress Oxide inks today - used watercolor paper, then a Distress ink technique, then heat set. Distress Oxide ink pad combination: Frayed Burlap, Antique Linen, Iced Spruce, Hickory Smoke and Vintage Photo.
The ink technique: smoosh each ink pad onto a nonstick craft mat. Mist ink with water until you see beads of inky water appear on the mat. With a steady hand, gently tap sections of the watercolor paper into the wet ink mess. Heat set. Repeat until look is achieved. I left a decent amount of white space on these.
Once inked watercolor paper was completely dry I diecut into tags, then stamped the images and assembled the card.
When I do this technique, I create several tags so I'll have extras on hand for future creative use. Stamp set is Stampers Anonymous CMS077 - Life Adventures.
The pretty amber gem is Memory Hardware - Prima Parisian Amber Stones. Trims are from May Arts, and the pretty background patterned paper is retired Alexandra Renke. Thank you for stopping by today!
